in Norway is a part of the global ABB Company. ABB in Norway has 2000 employees and revenue on around 1 billion Euros, of which 40% is export. ABB is a global leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact. The ABB Group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 145,000 people. ABB Corporate Research (CRC) is a part of ABB containing more than 800 scientists worldwide working on various research areas for Power and Automation industry.

The group that will participate in this project is an expert in research and development in the field of embedded system development (methods, tools, development processes and systems engineering) and has close contact to ABB Business Units that are providing solutions to the market. Therefore they have a rich experience on products and reliability processes and methods being used today. ABB CRC is very active in EU projects. They were involved in: D-MINT (model based testing), MOSIS (modularity in large software and information systems), EvISoft (Evidence based improvement of Software Engineering), CESAR (Cost-efficient methods and processes for safety relevant embedded systems), iFEST (industrial Framework for embedded system tools) and others.

In CLERECO ABB will mainly contribute to WP3 to design methods to assess the impact of software on the overall system reliability and will support other industrial partners in WP1 to set the main CLERECO requirements and in WP5 to validate and demonstrate project results.
