The ARCO group was created in 1992 and consists of 7 faculty members plus 15 PhD students and a large group of collaborators in various universities and companies. The group is part of the Department of Computer Architecture (www.ac.upc.edu). The Department of Computer Architecture (www.ac.upc.edu) has more than 100 faculties and performs research on computer architecture, network architecture, high-performance computing, networking and distributed systems.
UPC has a large experience and expertise in the participation and management of EU projects, with a specific office for that purpose (European Projects Office www.upc.edu/euresearch). UPC will participate in this project through the ARCO (https://arco.e.ac.upc.edu/wiki) group at DAC. The ARCO group was created in 1992 and consists of 7 faculty members plus 15 PhD students and a large group of collaborators in various universities and companies. The group is expert in high-performance, low power and reliable architectures, and has had numerous contributions in these areas.
In CLERECO, UPC will lead WP2 to set the reliability requirements and metrics that will be exploited throughout the whole project, focusing on the technology impact on reliability. Moreover, UPC will significantly contribute to WP3 on the characterization of microprocessors, accelerators and memories and will provide support for demonstration and validation in the HPC domain.
